Red cloth spine on decorative boards, with edgewear; paper title affixed to spine. Bookstore sticker on end pastedown, from the World Book Shop in Oakland. Rough-cut rag pages-- clean and bright and nicely decorated. Book recounts the life of a 19th-century scoundrel. Frontispiece portraits, a page reproducing Vasquez's handwriting in facsimile, and one folding color illustration of a California stage coach, based on an 1876 painting by W. H. Hilton. Else - Free of any markings. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
