Etat : Very good. - Quarto [11 inches high by 9-5/8 inches wide], cloth in a dust wrapper. There are some tiny white marks to the binding. The top edge of the dust jacket & the lower end of its rear fold are lightly chipped and the top edges of its flaps are darkened. 179 & [2] pages plus colophon. Profusely illustrated in color and black & white. Very good. Second, enlarged edition of a book originally published in French and Portuguese by the Sao Paulo Museum of Art, Brazil on the occasion of an exhibition held there in 1951. The monograph is here translated into English by John Drummond.Russia-born artist Lasar Segall, a painter, engraver and sculptor, spent his early working life in Germany. He made his first trip to Brazil in 1913 and after the first World War he took up residence there and became a Brazilian citizen.
