Hardcover. Etat : Good. Etat de la jaquette : No Jacket As Issued. 1st Edition. Mexican and Central American Antiquities, Calendar Systems, and History (Twenty-four papers by Eduard Seler, E. Forstemann, Paul Schellhas, Carl Sapper, and E. P. Dieseldorff) was translated from the German under the supervision of Charles P. Bowditch. The book was published by Washington Government Printing Office in 1904 for the Smithsonian Institution Bureau of American Ethnology and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It is Bulletin 28 in their series. It's an ex-library copy in good condition but for the library markings and a brittle (VERY brittle, I've glued it once) spine, has no dust jacket, and has spent most of its "life" in the reference room and the magazine room. The book is an olive green hard cover copy, 6" by 9 1/4" , and has 682 semi-glossy pages with a Table of Contents, an Index, many older black-and-white illustrations scattered throughout the book, and 49 color and black-and-white plates not counted in the page count . . . several of which are fold outs. Thank you!.
