Soft cover. Etat : Good. A detailed study of the building works, designs, and plans of the architectural firm of Chan Krieger Sieniewicz, a company whose work has primarily been done in the New England area, mainly in Boston. They were the designers of the famous Big Dig in Boston. They also worked on the conceptual plan to do the same thing with The Bund, arguably the most important thoroughfare and main street of Shanghai which faces the water and which had become clogged with traffic. Like in Boston, the plan is to put the traffic in an underground tunnel, leaving the street level free of major traffic. Illustrated throughout in color with photographs, maps and conceptual drawings of their major projects at universities and city centers. Texts and captions in English and in Chinese. Self-published. Measures 8.25" x 11.5" with 209 pages. Minor water stains to the top and bottom corners of the back cover near the spine and the last few pages of the book. This is barely noticeable and has no impact on the contents which remains clean and intact with no marks of any kind. Sold as is. Signed on the title page with an inscription to the prior owner by Larry Chan, one of the partners of the architectural firm. The inscription is done in calligraphy and is signed by Larry Chan in English and Chinese characters. Due to the size and weight of the book, additional shipping charges will be required for all deliveries outside the United States. SALE PRICE. Signed by one of the Architect.
