This is a travel assessment of conditions in the Sudan, and down the Nile into Egypt, looking more at political and social conditions than at culture and scenery. An interesting period piece of British rule in Egypt and the Sudan.

Not stated. Book is in Very good + condition with no DJ. It has a dark green cloth hardbound boards with gilt lettering to the front and the spine. Has slight fading, minor edge and spine wear. Interior front papers have a former owner book plate, and a small price of $12.50 to top right in ink. Noted one small tear to top of second end paper. Papers of this book are deckle cut. It has an Introduction to front, then a note from the author, a complete table of contents and a listing of the Portraits inside book. The Interior of this copy is very clean and book is still tightly bound.
