Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 292 pages. This is an attractive copy of de Beauvoir's first novel, in a dust jacket that is quite satisfactory. Publisher's binding sturdy and fresh, minor bumping to head and foot of spine; contents fine. The unclipped dust jacket ($3.00) is rubbed at its edges, with a one-half inch open tear to its front panel and a one-inch open tear and sunning at its rear panel, but is otherwise sound. A short cancellation (probably by the publisher) follows the name "Jean Paul Sartre" at the rear panel of the dust jacket. 420 grams.
