Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. 1st Edition. This period covers Robert Louis Stevenson's final years and death, during which Mrs. Stevenson, his mother, lived on the island with him. Boards are bound in red cloth which are clean with NO fraying, and lightly bumped corners. Spine is sunned dark and paper label of title chipped but 90% complete and readable. Binding is firm; interior pages are well attached - no loose or torn pages. End papers are foxed and orignial tissue paper inserts still in place. Previous owner inscription beautifully written and dated January 6, 1907 on FEP. includes B&W photos. This is NOT an Ex-lib; An excellent condition given this book has been in existence for over 117+ years.
