The wraps are bumped with some light creasing. 14 pages. There are light creases to the corners of each page with an area of staining to pages 4 and 5. The pamphlet has been folded, leaving 2 horizontal creases to each wrap & each page. Good. The first text page is headed: "An Address to the Government of the United States. The Attention of the Congress of the United States Is Respectfully Invited to Pirsson's Patent Condenser, / For Supplying the Boilers of Marine Engines with Fresh Water; which will be found of the utmost importance to their Steam Naval Marine. / This great invention can also be so arranged as to furnish an adequate supply of perfectly pure fresh water for the Use of the Ship's Crew, for Washing Clothes, &c., &c."The pamphlet prints letters from engineers and others addressed to Pirsson confirming the satisfactory functioning of his invention; and letters from U.S. Navy officers and engineers recommending the condenser to the navy.Rare in commerce.
