A collection gathered from many authors, including hymns written by Charles Forbes Taylor and his brother Laurie Forbes Taylor.Charles Forbes Taylor (1899-1994), born in England and at an early age emigrated with his family to California. He was an evangelist who worked mainly in Baptist churches. He was something of a child prodigy, and was known as "The Boy Preacher" in his youth. His WWI Draft Registration Card lists his occupation as "Evangelist" and self-employed in 1918.

At the bottom left of the picture is a copyright date of 1941 by Kriebel & Bates - who in 1941 were the exclusive publishers of Sallmanâ s art) The picture has a small half inch tear at the center right edge. No marks noted in text. The stapled wraps binding is sound. The cover has wear and tanning as well as a damp stain at the bottom corner. The stain appears to have only penetrated onto the very lasat blank page of the booklet. Previous owner's name on inside front cover.
