The green cloth publishers art nouveau style bindings are all bright and gilt bright, but some wear and a small hole on volume 3 at spine edge, just wear, corners and spine edges similarly a little worn, some foxing to the gravure plates and tissue guards and some moderate foxing at frontispieces and prelims, all printed on heavy gloss art paper. A good to Very Good+ set. [Sometimes this is found in 6 divisions, this set was always the 3 volume set, but contains all the same text and images that the other format does]. There is a small armorial bookplate to each volume of Herbert Spencer Clay. He died in 1937 aged 62 and he served in the Worcester regiment in 1914-1922 2nd Lieut and finished as a Lt-Col. *The size is large quarto and weigh about 8.8 kilo+ so postage would need to be adjusted from rate set as standard for a single item under 2 kilo. I would post cheapest at time of ordering and quote a direct price to the buyer.
