Hardcover. Etat : Fair. No Jacket. Two major sections; The foundations of Government and Government of the People of the state of Illinois. Pages tight; slight yellowing; no markings; small ink stains of about 1 inch on last few page edges. Faded worn leathers hard cover with black lettering and black taped area on spine crease. Front cover has pulled away from spine in very weakened condition. Portions of front inside 3 blank pages are partially excised from portion of front cover. Cover edges, corners show wear; Rear inside spine crease weakened. First section has 224 pages and index with chapters on stages of society, right; political rights in England and Colonial America; home affairs; state and the territory; Law, Congress, President of US; Executive , Courts, people and the land, money, citizen, politics. etc. State papers include Mayflower Compact, Declaration of Rights, Delaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, and Constitution of US.Several illustrations throughout book.
