Written in 1904, Hudson's novel centers on a traveler to the remote jungles of Venezuela who encounters a girl named Rima from a lost tribe who lives in the jungle. If you haven't read it yet, give yourself a treat and try it. Nicely illustrated in b&w and color by Miguel Covarrubias. The green cloth spine is sunned and the gilt spine lettering is rubbed, but legible. The covers are paper covered boards. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The slipcase is in nice condition with no splits or tears or marking. Includes the 4 page publisher's "Sandglass" brochure describing the book, author and illustrator, loosely laid in. ; Color & B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 345 pages.
