Hardcover. Etat : Good. Hardcover. Blue cloth over boards. "Flaps" written on the spine in white paint, with a square of white paint further down the spine. Measures 10.5 x 8 inches. Multiple sections bound together in library binding; each section individually paginated. Sections are numbered as follows: 324, 422, 578 -- published, respectively, in 1929, and 1932, 1936. The first section is titled "Wind Tunnel Tests on an Airfoil Equipped with a Split Flap and a Slot". 6 pages. The next is titled "The Aerodynamic Characteristics of a model Wing Having a Split Flap Deflected Downward and Moved to the Rear". 7 pages. Section 3 is titled "Full-Scale Wind-Tunnel and Flight Tests of a Fairchild 22 Airplane Equipped with a Fowler Flap". 19 pages. Each section is followed by multiple figures and tables. The entire volume, with original covers, has a later library binding. Gutters at front and back reinforced with white cloth. Two library stamps and some writing in pen on the front free endpaper. Pages within are clean and free of foreign markings. Light rubbing to covers. Comes from a large collection of technical memorandums from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before the committee was abolished upon creation of NASA in 1958.
