Paper browning otherwise tight and clean. Glorious Unger wrap-round cover design. Unger first studied poster design with Jupp Wiertz in Berlin (1934-1935). Born to a Jewish family, he left for Cape Town in 1936 and moved to London in 1948 becoming one of the fore-most graphic designers of the time. With mosaicist Eberhard Schulze, Unger also became acknowledged as one of the best mosaic designers in London. Penguin Illustrators p. 152.
