When Betty Dwight, five times lady tennis champion, is challenged by the notorious Marie Azarin, Mexico s spectacular contribution to world tennis, the odds are against the champion. A deal of tennis, romance and mystery follow in this story which has such an interesting beginning. For when the match between the champion and the challenger begins the prophesy of the odds seems to be coming true. Marie plays brilliantly, while the champion s game is definitely off.
