One of sixteen weekly parts, ( part 2) "each adorned with a highly0finished Engraving, principally Portraitst of Celebrated Naval Commanders, from the Original Pictures in the Naval Gallery of Greenwich Hospital". In this case, the portrait is of Rear-Admiral Richard Kempenfelt. Paper covers, a little worn to edges.

Outer fabric on spine ends is very worn away and spine ends are bumped. Leading corners are very worn and bumped. Pages are rough. Pastedowns and endpapers are rather grubby. Relatively minor foxing on pages. Minor penned marginalia on page 57. Contents are clear throughout. Binding remains intact. AF. Used.

The front and back covers are brown marbled paper which has rubbed considerably in the center. Interior illustrations are single page steel engravings and of the 13 listed on the illustration page of contents, eleven are still present, so the book appears to be missing two illustration pages. Nice vintage bookplate on front inside cover. Nice vintage bookplate on the front inside cover and aPrevious owners inscription dated 1941 on the first page in, otherwise a Tight sound unmarked copy in Good to Very Good condition. No Signature.
