Good hardcover with tight binding and clean pages, except for a small gift inscription (to the previous owner's mother when she was a child) on the first front fly page. No dust jacket but probably never had one. Edges of the cloth covers and spine are worn and slightly frayed. Paste down on the front cover has one very small section missing on the bottom right corner. Pages are lightly yellowed with age. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 250 pages.

Very good condition red cloth boards with embossed black front cover decoration, three quarters color pastedown and black spine lettering. Profusely illustrated with black & white illustrations and single color illustrations on almost every page. Page 87/88 has a 1 inch fold in the upper page corner that has weakened that small piece of the page. All pages are lightly toned but, besides pages 87/88, in fine condition.
