Trade Paperback. Etat : Fine. Large paperback housed in a stiff plastic binder, signed by the author's wife Beryl, "This is the diary of Arden H. Yoder, compiled posthumously by his widow, Beryl M. Yoder. 'Artie' Yoder was an Assistant Engineer/Gunner in the 388th Bomb Group (H) who flew 35 combat missions over Germany between 19 Sept. 1944 and 04 Mar. 1945. He was awarded the European Theater Medal with 3 bronze stars, for the campaigns of Northern France, Germany and the Ardennes, and the Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters. He survived and completed his mission tour and returned to a fulfilling life which included a loving marriage of nearly 53 years. His diary provides meaningful insight into the life of a combat air crewmember in his training and during a climactic period in World War II," illustrated with color photos, maps, and reproductions of newspaper articles, the diary is brief but provides a wonderful tribute to one of the many who risked it all so that freedom could endure, this copy is in AS NEW condition; Signed by Author.
