Some light wrinkling to the margins of the last couple of dozen pages. There is some minor creasing, edge rubbing and wear to the spine and outer card covers. Inner card flap is price clipped. Foreword by Penelope Hobhouse. By piecing together photographs, sketches, poetry and local myths, this intriguing book - updated to include the latest progress - details the trials, tribulations and the human story behind the restoration of the gardens of Aberglasney. Central to the book is an attempt to explain what the garden stands for, when and what was created and for whom. Penny David was an Oxford historian before working in publishing for over twenty years. In 1985 she returned to her native Wales where she has collaborated with a number of publishers, specialising more and more in plants and gardens and writing in particular with Penny Hobhouse. She is the author of A Garden Lost in Time which charts the restoration of the ancient gardens of Aberglasney. Size: 7 3/4 Inches Wide By 10 1/2 Inches Long.
