Interior clean with some yellowing of pages - front and back hinges cracked, but binding is intact and secure. Front cover just a little bit shaky. Looks like back blank endpaper removed. 256 pages with index. Lots of b/w photos. A standard work on riding and horsemanship begins with a brief history of the horse, an account of various pony breeds, and then continues with chapters on the care and training of ponies and on learning to ride them. Quite a bit devoted to foxhunting, foxhounds, and kennels.
