Paperback. Etat : Very Good. By the turn of the events, at the very begging of the first Balkan war, entirely unexpectedly an example of R.E.P type F fell into the hands of the Serbian Army. This example was ordered by the Ottoman empire, and when the war started it was crated in a railway wagon within a composition which was at the time located at the railway station in Toponica near Nis. Even though Serbia later had to pay for the confiscated example, the present was welcomed by the Serbian Army Command which hurriedly worked to equip and to organize its own air force. This book describes the use of the sole example of R.E.P. airplane which carried the colors of the Kingdom of Serbia. The authors tried to leave no stone unturned searching for rare information concerning this almost forgotten airplane. They thoroughly searched domestic and foreign archives, magazines and collections. This book covers largely the construction and all the details related to the tactical and technical characteristics of this extraordinary airplane. The contents are supplemented by numerous 2D, 3D and technical drawings, which for the first time detail even the smallest construction details, assemblies, engine, equipment as well as camouflage and markings schemes of this rare and unique airplane. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. The Fiat G.55 Centauro fighter was designed by Giuseppe Gabrielli at the Fiat factory in 1942 and flown in the spring of the same year (April 30). The plane was to be a response to the demand for an interceptor capable of operating at high altitudes, which was dictated by the increasing intensity of Allied air raids on Italian cities and military infrastructure. A total of 130 copies of this machine were produced. Most Fiats G.55 were stationed in bases in northern Italy, from which they defended industrial plants located in these regions. The G.55 fighters were very highly rated by the pilots who considered them superior to the German Bf 109s G and K versions, and the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A. Unfortunately, due to the bombing of Fiat factories and problems with the supply of a sufficient number of Daimler Benz 603 engines, the production of the aircraft was stopped. Published in Kagero's renowned Top Drawings series for modellers and military historians, this volume details the history of the Fiat G.55 Centauro fighter and includes 10 quality colour profiles and drawings in scale. 10 colour profiles; Scale Drawings Published in Kageros renowned Top Drawings series for modellers and military historians, this volume details the Fiat G.55 Centauro fighter. Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. The Bristol Blenheim was one of the most popular British aircraft at the beginning of World War II. It was a very versatile and modifiable machine, and therefore typical bomber, reconnaissance, and fighter (including night) versions were created. The first mass-produced version was the Mk I, which featured a richly glazed nose part of the fuselage. The most common version in the air force of several countries was the Mk IV, in which the glass nose of the aircraft was extended so that the bombardier could lie freely in a special cradle during targeting. The nose of the fuselage had an asymmetrical "dent" on the left side of the fuselage (in its upper part), providing better visibility for the pilot sitting in a separate cockpit. This version also had more powerful engines and a longer range, but slightly lower speed and ceiling. 10 colour profiles; Drawings in scales Published in Kageros Top Drawings series for modellers and enthusiasts, this volume details one of the most popular British aircraft at the beginning of World War II, The Bristol Blenheim. Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. Messerschmitt Me 210 - German heavy fighter. Work on the design began in late 1930s with a goal of creating a versatile aircraft, equally capable as a fighter, dive bomber or a reconnaissance platform. The machine was an all-metal, low-wing monoplane, featuring twin vertical stabilizers. Full-scale production of the Me 210 was launched in 1941. The aircraft was powered by a pair of Daimler-Benz DB 601F engines, each producing 959 kW of power. Messerschmitt Me 410 - German heavy twin-engine fighter and fast bomber, meant to be an improvement of the unsuccessful Me 210 design. The aircraft was equipped with new Daimler-Benz DB603A inverted V engines, rated at 1,750 and 1,850 hp. Powered by those engines the Me 410 was capable of speeds up to 628 km/h. The aircraft's armament consisted of two 7.92 mm MG 17 machine guns, a pair of 13 mm MG 131 machine guns and four remotely-controlled 20 mm MG 151 cannons. The Me 410 could also carry up to 1,000 kg of bombs. As Alexander Seversky, he founded the Seversky Aero Corporation. Alexander Kartvelli (also a Georgian) became his main designer. Unfortunately, financial problems led to firing Seversky, and his company changed its name to Republic Aviation Corporation. The projects started and developed by Seversky, which resulted in the P-35 fighter, were continued, though. As a result of its further development, a design for the XP-41 high-altitude fighter equipped with a turbocharger was prepared. Only a prototype was built, while many of its solutions went to a more advanced aircraft, designated AP-4, and finally P-43. drawing sheets, colour profiles Aleksander Siewierski, originally from Georgia, was in the United States in 1917 and was there when the revolution in Russia broke out. Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. The Dornier Do 335A did not meet all the Luftwaffe requirements. First, the cockpit armor was too weak, which excluded the machine from the role of a fighter intercepting heavily defended Allied bombers. Therefore, in the summer of 1944, a modified version of the Do 335 - marked with the letter "B"- was developed. The main difference was to be an armored pilot's cockpit with a new, easier to manufacture windscreen. The front wheel had larger tire. To be able to retract it without any changes in the landing gear bay construction, it was rotated around the leg axis by 450 during the retraction. The rest of the equipment and weapons were to be the same as in the case of the Do 335A-1. The developed version was designated Do 335B-1, but it was quickly abandoned in favor of heavily armed versions B-2 and B-3, known as Zerstoerer. The prototypes of the version B-2 were Do 335M-13 and M-14 powered, like the A-1, by the DB 603E (front) and DB-603QE (rear) engines, but with significantly reinforced armament. The 15 mm MG 151/15 cannons above the engine were replaced with a 20 mm MG 151/20, and the wings were fitted with two 30 mm MK 103 cannons with 70 rounds per barrel. The same cannon fired through the propeller axis. drawing sheets, colour profiles The Dornier Do 335A did not meet all the Luftwaffe requirements. Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. Moskva gained its fame thanks to the spectacular sinking which took place during the hostilities during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The Russian missile cruiser Moskva, until 1995 called Slava, was the first unit of a very interesting type of ship of the project 1164, characterized by, inter alia, 16 anti-ship missile launchers set inclined in the bow section. Project 1164 missile cruisers, which, apart from Moskva, also include Varyag (ex-Red Ukraine), Marshal Ustinov (ex-Admiral Lobov) and Ukraine (ex-Komsomolets, ex-Fleet Admiral Lobov), when they entered service, were considered to be among the best in their class. They had enormous firepower, and thanks to their technologically advanced missiles, they were called aircraft carrier killers, due to their primary purpose, which was to destroy American aircraft carriers. Moskva gained its fame thanks to the spectacular sinking which took place during the hostilities during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. After she fired on Snake Island on February 24, whose personnel refused to lay down their arms, on April 13, 2022, around 19.00 she was hit by two anti-ship missiles. At that time, approximately 60 nautical miles south of Odessa, the cruiser was badly damaged. A fire broke out and ammunition exploded. Explores in detail the Moskva, the guided missile cruiser of the Russian Navy and flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The cruiser was deployed in military conflicts in Georgia (2008), Crimea (2014), and Syria (2015), and was sunk in April 2022 during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Paperback. Etat : new. Paperback. As the first functional jet engines became available, the RLM published a requirement for a reconnaissance aircraft capable of long-range patrols over Britain, all the way up to Scapa Flow. The task to build the machine was given to Arado, who put Rudiger Kosin in charge of the design team. The initial E370 project was gradually tweaked and modified until it evolved into its final form as a single-seat aircraft powered by two jet engines in underwing pods, designated Ar 234. In order to maximise the aircraft's range, Arado's design team embarked on a radical weight-shedding crusade. Among the components eliminated from the design was the conventional landing gear, which was replaced with a jettisonable three-wheel trolley used for take-offs and retractable skids mounted under the fuselage for landings. These design features were incorporated into the first A series prototypes, powered by Junkers Jumo 004A engines. drawing sheets, colour profiles Detailed look at three variants of the world's first operational jet-powered bomber, built in the closing stages of World War II. Etat : new. When the Empire of Japan started the war against Western powers in 1941, it had only a small number of air force units deployed on the Japanese home islands in order to defend them. The Doolittle Raid on 18 April 1942 came as such a shock for the Japanese High Command that it caused structural changes within the Japanese air defense system and speeded up the introduction of new types of fighters. Much bigger threat for Japan emerged in the mid of June 1944 when the first air raid of B-29 bombers reached the Japanese home islands. Since that moment protecting Japanese cities from the devastating blows carried out by the U.S. bombers became the General Defense Command (Boei Soshirebu) main task. Volume I describes the forming process of the Japanese air defense system since the creation of the General Defense Command in July 1941, throughout the structural changes within the following years, preparations to counter the U.S. bomb raids until the air battles fought between June and December 1944 in the defense of Japan. This part of the book also includes descriptions of all major types of Japanese fighters which were deployed in air defense units. When the Empire of Japan started the war against Western powers in 1941, it had only a small number of air force units deployed on the Japanese home islands in order to defend them.
