Hardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. This printing of Nolan's personal journal is attractively done in quarto format - 8.5 x 10 ins. Includes colour pictures, facsimile documents, a fold-out map, hand-drawn sketch maps and portraits of the commanders. The role of Capt Nolan (15th Hussars) in this inglorious episode is well-known but the journal breaks off abruptly 12 Oct 1854 (the famous 'charge' was on 25th when Nolan was killed). 110 pages; 2010. Condition: very nice - black casing and text without flaws; d-j very good, some wear at edge of front and back folds but fully intact. A nice copy overall. Not ex-lib.
