Stated First Trade Edition. A collection of one hundred photographs Miss Welty chose from several hundred she made in Mississippi when she had just come home from college and into the Depression. At that time she had a job as a publicity agent for the Mississippi office of the W.P.A. and had to travel all over the state. Soon she was carrying a camera, not as part of her job because the pictures have nothing to do with the W.P.A. Two barely visible pinpoint spots on spine. Otherwise very good in sturdy, lightly worn dust jacket with a few very short closed tears. Unpaginated small 4to.8" x 8-1/4." Light brown cloth covered boards stamped in black and copper.
