Sehr gutes Exemplar. - Englisch. // INHALT : PREFACE -- CHAPTER I -- VENICE IN PERSPECTIVE -- BACKGROUND FOREGROUND -- CHAPTER II -- ART IN THE LIFE OF JACOPO BELLINI -- CHAPTER III -- THE GRAPHIC EYE: BELLINI'S DRAWINGS -- DOUBLED VISION: ON PAPER AND PARCHMENT -- A TALE OF TWO BOOKS -- BOTH BOOKS COMPARED: STYLE AND SPIRIT THE NATURE OF THE BOOKS: STRUCTURE, DATE, TECHNIQUE -- CHAPTER IV -- THE VENETO OBSERVED -- DAILY THEMES: THE MANY MESSAGES OF GENRE -- FLORA FAUNA -- FLIGHT TO LAND AND SKY: VENETIAN VEDUTE -- PORTRAITURE -- NUDES -- CHAPTER V -- VENICE AND THE CLASSICAL VISION -- CHAPTER VI -- ARMS AND THE VENETIAN MAN -- THE SOLDIER OF FORTUNE: ARS ET MARS CHI VALRIC ADVENTURE JOUSTS IN THE PIAZZA IN THE FACE OF DEATH -- CHAPTER VII -- THE BIBLE OF VENETIAN ART -- FAITH IN VENICE: THE PICTORIAL PILGRIMAGE -- OLD TESTAMENT -- NEW TESTAMENT: LIVES OF CHRIST AND THE VIRGIN -- THE SAINTS -- CHAPTER VIII -- CITY AS STAGE -- PERSPECTIVE AS PERFORMANCE -- THE SCENE OF VICTORY -- BELLINI AS BUILDER -- APPENDIX A -- A CODICOLOGICAL ANALYSIS AND RECONSTRUCTION -- OF JACOPO BELLINI'S DRAWING BOOKS -- BY ALBERT ).
