Livre Edition originale
Limited edition of 100 numbered copies. Full morocco, Pepys' arms in gilt on both boards, all edges gilt, dentelles, 8vo, , [148] pp, printed in red and black. A facsimile of the copy from the library of Samuel Pepys (1632-1703), now in Magdelene College, Cambridge, with an introduction by J. Stevens. An interesting feature of the Pepys copy is the Ms. music which follows the printed text and is also reproduced in facsimile. The five pages contain alternative settings of the Sursum cor da and Lord's Prayer of the 1549 Communion Service. They were probably copied from a no longer extant source which may have been contemporary with The booke of Common praier noted. Copy No. 2. Fine in a slipcase which is bumped at one corner and with marks to one face.
