The book is of a kelly green cloth with burgundy lettering on the front board and spine, with a burgundy/ blue depiction of schooners at sea at top and bottom of title. Green top edge. Boards are in great shape save some light sunning on the top edges and a black dot on the rear board. Beautiful navy on white end papers showing multiple schooners and sea gulls. Frontispiece in color. Illustrators: N. C. Wyeth, Frank Schoonover, Charles Hargens, Stanley M. Arthurs, Manning Lee, and others in both color and black and white. Gift inscription on backside of an interior FEP. Book is square and tight. Some light foxing on a couple of pages. The dust jacket has multiple chips at the top and bottom spine, but covers 99.5% of the book. There are some minor tears.
