El mejor estudio sobre la construcción de barcos en España durante los siglos XVI al XVIII. El autor se define como Catedrático de la Escuela central de Ingenieros Industriales y Diputado a Cortes. El libro es fruto de unas conferencias organizadas en mayo de 1914 en el Ateneo de Madrid. Es un auténtico trabajo de "arqueología" naval, que recoge documentación textual y gráfica de manuscritos y libros referentes a los barcos españoles, desde las maderas que se han de escoger, hasta la construcción de las velas, piezas de hierro, artillería, víveres, y marinería. Los barcos hundidos en diferentes puntos de la geografía española y americana, muchos de ellos son relacionados con nombres y piezas de artillería, viajes que hicieron, etc. Palau 18082.

Published in Madrid for the Author, 1920. The corners of the binding a little rubbed, the hinges reinforced, clean internally. A very good copy. This work is one of the finest productions on Spanish naval architecture and shipbuilding from the 16th to 18th century, and particularly documents the architecture of the old Spanish wooden battleships and galleons. It was following a series of conferences held at the Ateneo de Madrid in May 1914 that this work came to be published (Palau 1, 521.)
