Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. First Edition. 1st printing of the first American hardcover edition SIGNED by the late Jack Webb in black ink on the front free endpaper. No inscription and no markings by a previous owner or retailer. The author's autograph is embossed on the front board for easy verification. A well-preserved copy. The book is square and tight and the binding is solid. All four corners are rubbed, to a greater or lesser degree. The bottom edge of the front board has received a couple of dents. The heel and crown of the book's spine have softened and the cloth is slightly frayed. There is mild tanning to the page edges, heel and crown of the book's spine and the board edges. The jacket is price intact. The spine of the jacket is sunstained, though none of the type is obscured. There is paper loss at the heel and crown of the spine. There are wrinkles and edge wear at the extremities with closed tears bracketing the crown of the jacket's spine. The white sections of the front and back panels show surface rubbing and tanning. This remains a pleasing copy of a scarce book and autograph. From the jacket: "The originator and star of television and radio's famed 'Dragnet' series brings you the authentic story of a mighty police force in action, highlighted by dramatic scenes that he could not present on television." 331 pages including 32 pages of B&W stills. Canadian orders will be charged GST. Signed by Author(s).
