Glossy dustwrapper not price-clipped (no price) illustrated with wrap-around watercolor of young boy dancing with traditional Chinese parade dragon; two gold stickers affixed to front cover; (1) a large "Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Medal", awarded by the Canadian Association of Children's Librarians and (2) a smaller "Book Award Winner" by "IODE". 1" slightly angled, closed tear down top rear cover left spine corner, with two slight creases (essentially flat) emanating from tear, diagonally upward, toward rear cover top left corner; hint of horizontal curling across top edges (dw riding too high); describes much worse than it is, but there you have it. Presentation copy, Inscribed on ffep to named previous owner, "May all your dreams come true", Signed and dated "Feb 3/87". Besides the dw peccadilloes, a slight soft crease to rear flyleaf verso, essentially flat and nearly undetectable, the only sign of use of the book itself, possibly occurring only during the signing. Solid copy with stil tight binding; Sharp corners (NO bumps or curls); NO rubbing wear; NO remainder marks. Clean text.
