Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Good. Boxed set of six 12mo volumes, each measuring approximately 3 by 4 inches. Most are dated 1905; Peter Rabbit is dated 1911. The publisher's advertisements at the end of each book are for titles published in 1911, including 'The Magic Aeroplane' and Eight Little Japs' and 'Twinkle and Chubbins'. Hardcover, bound in original bright red paper-covered boards with pictorial pastedown to front covers surrounded by a stamped design of holly & berries. Plain red endpapers. Each book contains numerous full-page color illustrations throughout. The set is housed in the publisher's original paper-covered slipcase which is meant to look like a traveller's trunk, with labels such as "Kriss Kringle Lane", "Reindeer Express Line" et al. Books are in good to very good condition. Bindings and hinges are intact though slightly shaken. Pages are clean and unmarked with no signs of prior ownership. There is some shelf-wear and rubbing to extremities, mostly to spine ends and to the upper board corner of Night Before Christmas. The box is intact and in good shape with some wear to extremities, starting to split along one seam. There is no lid (as usual). All in all, this remains a nice example of a highly collectible set.
