Dust jacket is heavy brown paper with oval cut to reveal author's name, undoubtedly published in this form. Former owner's name inside front cover, the book's only fault. A sample of the contents: The Diarrheal Diseases, Amebiasis, Giardiasis, Balantidiasis,Coccidiosis, Bacillalry Dysentery, Cholera. Diseases Caused by Blood Protozoa: Malaria, Blackwater Fever, African Trypanosomiasis, Leishmaniasis, Granuloma Inguinale. Diseases Caused by Spirochetes and Spirilla: Relapsing Fevers, Infectious Jaundice, Rat-Bite Fever, Seven-Day Fever, Pinta, Yaws . . . and you get the idea. It's not a fun book. 957 pages. Photos. Index. Charts and tables. ?Binding is tight and square. Book has not been used much, if at all.

A book necessary to familiarize American doctors with tropical dieases that became important for the Pacific Theater of WW II. Cover ugly, but not worn; internals excellent.
