This particular example was issued the following year in a commemorative annual volume. The image shows Davy Jones at the bottom of the sea, gleefully reviewing a map of Ferrol Harbor dated over a century prior. This is referring to an incident in November 1892 when the HMS Howe ran aground off the coast of Spain, due in large part to outdated Admiralty charts. Text at the bottom reads, " AHA! So long as they stick to them old charts, no fear o' my locker bein' empty!" " Sheet Width (in) 8 Sheet Height (in) 10.5 Condition Description Ragged left edge from where previously bound. Lightly toned around the outer edges, consistent with age. Very good overall.
