Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Good. 1st Edition. It certainly was a bumper year on Broadway, featuring Miller's "Death of a Salesman," Anderson's "Anne of the Thousand Days," and Giraudoux's "Madwoman of Chaillot." (The text of Fay Kanin's "Goodbye My Fancy" is included along with those first three, perhaps showing its age more markedly.) And this volume doesn't see fit to offer more than cast listings of the musicals, including "Kiss Me Kate" and "South Pacific." But we do have here the complete text of "Death of a Salesman," in its first year of publication. Jacket is missing top half-inch of spine; shows "coke bottle ring" to mostly white rear panel. Arthur Miller SIGNS (name only) AT THE BEGINNING of "Death of a Salesman," at pg. 53 (see scan.) Totals 486 pp. including indices. Reduced from $390. Signed by Author(s).
