Small name and address label to top left of front pastedown. Rutledge (1883-1973) was the first South Carolina poet laureate from 1934-1973. His poems often described his hunting and life experiences growing up on Hampton Plantation and the trips home to South Carolina in summer and for holidays. 635 pages. A very good copy in a very good dust jacket.
