2 parts bound together(pp.1-672 & pp.1-442). In black diced full calf with gilt decoration & lettering; marbled end papers; ribbon page marker. Copiously illustrated with steel engravings. A little scattered light foxing; wear to leather at board corners, & at head & foot of spine & along spine joints. Gilt on spine very dull & worn. This is a heavy book (about 3.5kg packed); additional postage may be required Used - Good. Good hardback in full leather.

Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. No Jacket. 2 volume folio set in full leather boards. Embossed and gilt decoration. Spines complete with some wear to tips. Both front boards are starting to crack volume 1 about 3 inches at top and bottom volume 2 about 3 inches at bottom. Boards still holding well but front endpapers are cracked but no markings. Volume 1 goes to page 900. Volume 2 has page 901 to 1144 end of old Testament,168 pages of the Apocrypha and 460 pages of the new testament. There is a large number of steel engravings that are not part of the page numbers. Some engravings have foxing due to the tissue guards. Most text pages in fine condition. No stains or water marks. All edges gilt. Circa 1850's A very nice looking set. Will need extra postage.

Shepard at 216 River St., Troy, New York, in full leather, with bevelled edges, gilt designs, raised bands on gilt decorated spine, all edges gilt, inner dentelles, decorative endpapers, binding tight, front hinge split. Steel engraved plates throughout. Covers show light edge/corner wear, interior show occasional foxing, mostly on preliminary pages and on the plates.

Edges of spine and corners rubbed, cover hinge on Vol II beginning to split but still ok, a few rubs and scuffs. Contents some occasional slight browning and foxing but very tight and clean. An attractive copy. VG+.

Marbled endpapers and page edges. 11 1/4" Tall. Small piece of Leather missing from bottom left corner of spine on Vol. 3 (2" x 1") and some loss of surface patina on lower spine due to stiff tape having been placed there (see photos).
