Hardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Good. First Trade. Light brown or orange-bown boards with Tenney's name in gilt on front and spine. In the center of the front cover is a paste down of one of Johnson's paintings - that of a cowboy mounted on a white horse with mountains in the background. The paste down is in perfect condition. Although stamped "Collector's Edition" in the lower right corner of the front cover, the copyright page it is stated "First edition after a limited edition of 350 copies. Oversize book with color and black and white pictures and drawings." Tenney Russell and Remington were much more known than Johnston but Johnson "demonstrated more aesthetic and humanistic concern than his associates.
