"With illustraions in color after Warwick Goble." The author, Francis Aidan Gasquet (1846 - 1929), was an English Benedictine monk and scholar and uniquely qualified to write this history. A very pretty copy with minimal wear with the exception of a few smudges to the preliminaries, slight darkening to spine and a tiny dent to spine. No interior or exterior markings. In my opinion, the Dodd, Mead New York edition is prettier than the Chatto & Windus London edition.
