Tear to paper to front board edge. Wear marks overall.

There is a Dewey decimal sticker number on each spine, it is easily removed with little trace (one of them just fell off and there is no glue residue). Limited and Numbered. this set is #413 of 1,250 and printed for subscribers only, Volume 1- 565 pp, this covers Antiquity and the Greek and Roman Periods, Volume 2- 584 pp this covers Antiquity, Rome and the Christian Era, Volume 3- 600 pp, this covers the Christian Era, the volumes have a b/w frontis and the pages are rough-cut on the edge, while some are still uncut, 3 page edges at the front of Vol. 1 are rough and 2 are repaired with acid-free document tape, the pages are clean and the covers have light wear and soil, this is a nice usable set with intact spine labels.
