Light thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Light cracking to gutters and hinges; noticeable looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with visible staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Moderate splitting to joints. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

The interior is clean, but the rear hinge has been repaired with tape. The dust jacket has been encased in plastic and taped to the covers. It shows wear at the top and bottom of the spine, but has no spine label and so makes a respectable first appearance. Overall, this is a reading copy only. Synopsis: John and Rosemary guard Carbonel's two Royal Kittens while Carbonel is away from his kingdom. The kittens were a handful, and Queen Grisiana of Broomhurst, aided by Mrs Cantrip, try to trap the kittens and invade Fallowhithe.
