7.5 x 5", FINELY BOUND IN TWO-TONE LEATHER WITH LEATHER INSET VULTURE ON FRONT COVER; raised bands, original front cover, spine and portion of rear cover bound-in, 254pp, covers a bit rubbed, extremities bumped, hinges loose, textblock a bit used with some stray finger soiling. FIRST EDITION (with "I" on page 11 misaligned). SIGNED BY WILLIAM FAULKNER ON FRONT PANEL OF DUSTJACKET (first state, with "$2.50" on front flap; no spine or rear panel) THAT IS BOUND IN TOO. Faulkner adds "Bevy Hills Cal / 26 Octb 1936".
