No date listed on the book but looks to be around 1950s vintage Spine header and corners of the book are black leather, spine has raised bands and gold gilt lettering. The front and back covers are brown marbled paper which has rubbed considerably in the center. Interior illustrations are single page steel engravings and of the 13 listed on the illustration page of contents, eleven are still present, so the book appears to be missing two illustration pages. Nice vintage bookplate on front inside cover. Nice vintage bookplate on the front inside cover and aPrevious owners inscription dated 1941 on the first page in, otherwise a Tight sound unmarked copy in Good to Very Good condition. No Signature.

Contents include: From the Foundation of the House of Orleans to the year 1793, Birth of Louis Philippe Duke of Valois 1773, as Duke of Chartres, Lecturer in Geography and Mathematics at College of Reichenau in Switzerland 1793, First abdication of Napoleon to the Death of Louis XVIII in 1824, Revolution of 1830, Accession of Louis Philippe to the Throne of France. Foxing on frontispiece, half-title and occasional spots in text. Binding loosening a little at half-title. Pale yellow eps. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Spine faded. Blindstamp decoration on boards. Small nicks in top of spine. Corners rubbed. Previous owner's signature on front board. Overall condition VG.
