Hardcover. Etat : Good. Bertha L. Corbett (illustrateur). 1st Edition. First Edition. Just Good; see scans and description. Akron, New York, and Chicago: The Saalfield Publishing Company, 1904. First Edition. "Little Dame Trot", by Mary Agnes Byrne. Four illustrations by Bertha L. Corbett. 12mo, white boards (now rather soiled) with color illustration on front cover, 81 pp. Just Good; surviving examples seem to indicate this is a uniformly fragile edition. Here, the textblock is almost loose in covers, but all pages and illustrations are present; soil at covers; penciled gift inscription from 1908 is presumably erasable, should one wish to do that; scattered foxing spots. One of Byrne's tales for young girls, Little Dame Trot is all about 12-year old Myrtle Deane, trying to grow among the rules and quirks of school, home and friends. Somewhat fragile, but a scarce edition. Ships in a stout box, of course; not a bag. L72.
