8vo. 223pp. No. 444 of 500 copies. A reprint of the edition published at Paris in the 1880's by Isidore Liseux. The Manual D'Erotologie Classique is Forberg's 'commentary' to the 1824 edition of Antonius Beccadelli's Panormita, and comprises one of the richest sources of information accumulated in one place relative to sexuality in the ancient world. Many strange and curious practices will be found described in these pages, let me tell you. A handsome English translation was published at Paris in 1904 by Charles Carrington. Rene Bonnel, the publisher of the edition here offered, was one of the foremost publishers of finely printed clandestine erotica in the 1930's. This openly published work is no exception to the quality of his books. Original printed wrappers, with glassine protective covering, as issued. Wrapper detached at spine, otherwise a very nice copy.
