There are two chips off of the spine near the head, ut the binding is firm. Corners are bumped. Age-tanned/foxed areas on the endpapers. Ther is a sprinkling of foxing in margins throughout the book and the text and illustrations are generally clean, smooth and unmarked. One of the tissue guards as a crease. All Twelve tipped in plates are present with tissue guards. Please see all images.

Each volume is illustrated with twelve exceptional etchings tipped in, representative of the work of each artist, each with its protective tissue guard. The series is dedicated to some of the leading exponents of the etcher's art in the nineteenth- and early twentieth-century. The series includes volumes on various artists, such as Frank Brangwyn, James McBey, Andres Zorn, J L Forain, Sir Frank Short, Frank W.
