Hardcover. Altemus' Peter Rabbit Series. 60p. A small hardcover book with a red cloth spine and pictorial blue boards. Good condition overall. Edges of cover faded and corners wearing through. Child's ownership marks on endpapers. Binding shaken, but secure enough for normal handling. Scattered small creases and smudges, but otherwise, text unmarked. This is an unauthorized American edition that was released after the original British publisher failed to obtain a U.S. copyright on Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit character. Illustrated with color plates by J.L.G. Measures approx. 5.7" x 4.3".
