Hard Cover. First edition, stated. 8vo., 136 pgs. A fine first edition copy of an account of Faulkner's speaking visit to the campus, just 3 months before his death. No marks or clips, just minor aging of the jacket paper. Stated first printing. At the time Gen. Westmoreland was the Superintendant, and offers a brief forward concerning plans to dedicate a Faulkner room in the Academy's new library. Some candid photos appear here, as does a reading the author did, which was from the Reivers, in a transcript that shows some changes he made at the time. There is also a Q&A from his reception there, taking questions on the Nobel and other topics. Fine condition in fine dust jacket.
