Etat : Good. 1967. First Published in Great Britain. 208 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Light thumb-marking present. Slight cracking to gutters of a few pages. Minor pencil inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Moderate tanning to spine and edges. Dark rubbing overall.

Soft cover. Etat : Very Good. Country Life (illustrateur). An original very early issue of Country Life Magazine dated October 16th 1897 featuring a main article on Rokeby in County Durham. 3 page write up with black and white illustrations of the property and gardens. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was over 100 years ago. This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of the Countess of Limerick.
