Gilt lettering & racing boat picture on blue covers in a hand made pink oilcloth dust jacket. 4to, 73pp. Printed on the first free end paper is: "Waquoit Bay Yacht Club - Junior Series - 1935 - First Prize - won by - "Skippy"." There is an attractive bookplate on the inside of the front cover depicting a young girl reading a book by candle-light, while sitting by a doll. In a panel above the child are a knight and princess on horseback, with a castle in the background. The book owner's name on the bookplate is Jean Willard - probably the owner of "Skippy" and winner of the race. "Kelvin-White Co., 112 State St. Boston" is stamped at the bottom of the first free end paper.

It is very slightly cocked. All corners very slightly frayed and bumped. The spine top is slightly worn and the bottom is very worn with a fraying edge, but no damage to the actual book itself - see photo. There are 205 sketches, 50 photographs and about 100 single questions. 253, iii pp. The author, obviously a successful sailor judging by the long list of victories and championships he held between 1922 and 1931, attempts to explain some of the knowledge that he has attained from competitive sailing.
