Color illustrated paper-covered hardboards, with crisp white-stamped lettering. Generally unbumped spine head and tail, and with sharp corners. Exceptionally clean binding. Text block firmly bound in. With 87 numbered pages of coated stock and featuring 141 auction lots of Japanese inro and lacquer ware. Replete with color plates, a few full-page. A Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy. 1 lb. 4 oz. Also included, in very similar condition, a paperback auction catalogue for a Sotheby's sale on March 21, 2000, in New York. Raymond Bushell [1911-1998] was a well-regarded connoisseur of Japanese art and he published on that topic frequently, including seven books on netsuke that are considered standard works on the subject.
