Inscribed and signed by Stanley Kunitz, in year of publication, to Provincetown artist Stanley Freborg: "For the Freborgs/ wtih affection/ in the rains-/ Stanley Kunitz/ Aug. 1958/ Provincetown" (on front flyleaf); with Stanley Freborg's (large) rubberstamp name and address (in Chicago) on front flyleaf. Abstract expressionist artist Stan Freborg was born in Chicago in 1906; he attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was represented by Grand Central Art Galleries (in New York City). Top edge is lightly foxed, orange cloth is moderately rubbed (with light soiling), else a very good copy in very good, price-clipped dust jacket; jacket has tanning on spine, with light creasing and nick at crown of spine and on rear panel (along top edge), front and rear panels of jacket are lightly soiled, else bright.
